The Universidad Europea de Madrid together with the Novovision clinic just presented the programme of the course that will be carried out for the formation of optometry of the eye surgery expert. The ideation of course arises because increasingly optical optometrists work in clinical settings and perform the preoperative and postoperative follow-up of different ocular surgeries, arises the need of that acquired more training on the most common surgical procedures. The diploma course in optometry from the eye surgery is aimed at those professionals of Optometry interested in acquiring necessary skills that enable them to integrate into an ophthalmological Center performing the tasks that are usually performed effectively. The training will begin in November 2012 and will be held between the Campus of Villaviciosa de Odon and the Novovision clinic, will be completed in June 2013 and will be blended with a total length of 220 hours. It is intended to provide specific training in evaluation and management of the patient candidates to eye surgery and is aimed at all those people who wish to improve the optometric care, especially for the diploma in optics and optometry, and graduates in optics and optometry. The aim of the course is that the young professionals in the sector can acquire necessary skills that enable it to integrate into an ophthalmological Center performing the tasks that are usually performed effectively.
